Care philosophy

We are committed to providing the highest quality of care and to ensuring those who live in our homes should do so with dignity, the respect of those who support them and should live with no reduction of their rights as citizens. Residents should be entitled to as full and active a life as their physical and mental condition will allow.

Irrespective of age or physical/mental disability, residents have a fundamental right to self-determination and individuality. Equally they have a right to live in a manner and in circumstances that correspond, as far as possible, with what is normal for those that continue to live in their own homes. This should allow for an individual to continue maintaining their cultural traditions and lifestyles.

In accepting that our business is founded on caring for people by people, we are acknowledging that our responsibility for care goes further than the provision of suitable premises or a basic simple responsibility to our resident. We recognise that care must be offered to everyone who comes into contact with our organisation – to our residents, their relations and friends and to our employees.
