Rehabilitation of Offenders Act

Because of the nature of the work for which you are applying, the post is exempt from the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (exemptions) order 1975. Applicants are therefore not entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are “spent” under the provision of the Act and in the event of employment, any failure to disclose convictions could result in summary dismissal. Any information given will remain confidential and will be considered only in relation to any application for positions to which this order applies. In addition to this declaration, from April 1 2002, we are required to apply for a Criminal Records Bureau check prior to employment.

Please ensure your CV is complete and includes: Full name, education & qualifications grades and dates, nursing & other qualification grades and dates, employment history and dates, at least 2 referees with full contact information and details of any current or previous convictions if applicable. Incomplete CV’s will not be considered.
